During the years 1720 and 1723 the belltower was erected by the architect Pietro Margantina.
In the 1740 and 1742 the lateral altar was added, consecrated to the Saint John Nepomuc, designed by the architect Andrea Fantina di Vallemaggia from Ticino.

Architecture
The church has only one middle ship with a small chorus and two lateral altars.
Using an external stairway you can reach the loggia (built in the years 1667/68); the sacristy was built around the year 1669.
The actual roof of the church replaces the original one made out of wood, which was completed in the years 1705 to 1707.
