S. Rocco church
Consecration
This church was consecrated by Monsignor Carcano on August 24
in the year 1624. The oldest part of Livigno gets its name from
this church.
The church was already founded in the year 1588 and is located on
the ground, which Livigno's inhabitants gave to the roman-catholic
church after the plague .
Location
The church is situated in Via Saroch in a part of Livigno called
S.Rocco, "a wonderful place with a wonderful view above the
valley and its slopes". (see: A. Martinelli, "Livigno,
Valle Convalli Chiese Contrade").
