Architecture epoch
The church was built from 1592 to 1624. After the 1636 it was already renovated for the first time. The money for the renovation was collected during the plague. From 1640 to 1643 the belltower was built. In the year 1645 the roof was renovated. In 1672, with the architects Bartolomeo Solari from Como and Stefano Panizza from Ponte Valtellina, the first renovations of the sacristy were initiated. In 1685 the sacristy got enlarged another time.
From 1725 till 1729 the belltower got its actual form. In 1931 the original wooden roof, dating back to the 17th century, was demolished and replaced by a galvanized one.
